We will only have a meeting. No program. The annual meeting for election of officers will be March 21st at 7 p.m. at the Genealogy Library 116 South 7th Street, Hiawatha.

April 2024

The first program of 2024 will be presented by Anne Cash of Hiawatha. Anne will present a program on the “Battle of Padonia” The program will begin at 7 p.m., April 18th at the genealogy library at 116 South 7^th Street, Hiawatha.

May 2024

May program will be on May 16^th at the genealogy library at 116 South 7^th Street, Hiawatha beginning at 7pm. Sharon Pontious will present a program on “Hiawatha Descendants of the Mayflower”, part one.

Refreshments will be served after the meeting.

June 2024

The June meeting will be held on June 20th at the genealogy library, 116 South 7^th Street, Hiawatha and starting at 7pm. Sharon Pontious will present part two of her program “Hiawatha Descendants of the Mayflower”. Sharon left us with a cliff hanger at the end of part one last month so we are all anxiously awaiting the conclusion of her story.

July 2024

The July meeting will be July 18th at the genealogy library, 116 S. 7th St, Hiawatha, at 7pm. Connie Werner, from Horton, will present the program on the new Veteran’s Memorial Museum in Horton.

August 2024

Judi Bruning will be giving the program on August 15^th on the History of the Birdcage theater in Robinson.  We’re excited to hear the history of the theater since many of us have attended the annual melodrama for years. Come join us at 7 p.m. in the Genealogy library at 116 S. 7^th Street in Hiawatha.

SEPTEMBER 2024 – NO MEETING

Due to participating in the Highway 36 Treasure Hunt there will be no program or meeting in September.

The meeting will be on October 17th, at the genealogy library, 116 S. 7th St, Hiawatha, at 7pm. Patty Merchant from the Historical Society will present a program on the new Military room at the Historical Society.

The meeting will be held on November 21st at the genealogy library, 116 S. 7th St, Hiawatha, at 7pm. Wendall Ganstrom will present a program on his recent genealogy trip to Denmark and Sweden.

DECEMBER 2024 – NO MEETING

                No meeting will be held in December. We want to wish everyone “Happy Holidays” and a very “Happy New Year”!
