Annual Match Day Event

Give Back to Move Forward Match Day hosted by the Hiawatha Community Foundation is an annual event started in 2020 that has helped numerous non-profit organizations in the Hiawatha Community. The Brown County Genealogical Society has been very fortunate to benefit from the Match Day event. One of the first items we were in need of was a copier. With people coming in doing research, our daily work and publishing our quarterly newsletter a copier was greatly needed. Other things we have been able to do is replace 2 aging computers and add battery backups to help protect the computers, maintain liability insurance, and purchase heavy duty bookcases which is always a staple in libraries! In the future we hope to update the older interior lighting in our library and continue with our day to day operations.

As a non profit organization that relies on donations and fundraisers to keep us going we greatly appreciate the ongoing support of our generous donors throughout the years.
