Donation
Donation and Volunteers...the backbone of our organization.
We are a 501(c) non-profit organization. We rely solely on memberships, donations, fundraisers and volunteers to keep our doors open so we can help people with their family history research and to maintain our library of information that includes more than just Brown County records.
If you would like to help us out with a donation, please click on the Donate button below. The donation is made through the Hiawatha Community Foundation so please choose our society in the Fund section. You will receive a receipt for your donation.
Thank you so much for your support!
Volunteer
Volunteers will be appreciated...
Our library is staffed by volunteers. Right now, we are only open 2 days a week. We would love to be open at least one more day a week. If you would like to volunteer on Monday, Wednesday or Friday, our hours are 10am to 3pm.
You don't need to be a genealogist to volunteer. We can show you around the library and the resources we have. We do offer assistance with Ancestry but that would not be all the time. You would be there to assist researchers as they come in and answer the phone. If you are interested, please contact us at brcogenealogy@yahoo.com, at 785-742-7511 or come down on a Tuesday or Thursday and we can show you around!
