What is a library without books? To truly have a wealth of resources, sturdy bookshelves are essential. Thanks to the library funding from the Match Day events we've participated in the past, the Brown County Genealogical Society has been able to expand our library significantly.

With library funding from the Brown County Genealogical Society, we were in desperate need of new computers, and a copier/printer is essential for any library. Thanks to these funds, we have been able to upgrade our computers and purchase a copier/printer to better serve our researchers, especially on Match Day.

As our library grew thanks to the support from initiatives like Match Day, we were able to secure additional library funding to purchase more bookshelves to accommodate all the necessary resources for family history researchers through the Brown County Genealogical Society.

Last year, thanks to the support from the Brown County Genealogical Society and library funding, we were able to upgrade our lighting upstairs during Match Day.

Future needs for our society...

We love our old building, but it needs some TLC. We need to upgrade our AC since at this time we have an old window unit that is about to go out on us. This website for the Brown County Genealogical Society is a new, more robust platform that will allow us to expand our digital world, but it needs to be maintained and protected. Additionally, we recently faced unexpected electrical updates that were not part of our plans, highlighting the importance of library funding as we prepare for Match Day.

"Thank You"

We want to extend a sincere "Thank You" to everyone who has donated to the Brown County Genealogical Society in the past. As a non-profit organization, we rely on our membership and fundraisers, such as Match Day, to keep our doors open for those seeking to research their family history. Your generous donations have allowed us to grow our library and enhance our library funding, providing more ways to assist individuals who contact our society with questions. Now that we own the building, thanks to the kindness of our long-time landlord, your future donations will also help us maintain this space.
